After John Edwards and Rudy Giuliani withdrew from the presidential race, Stewart turns to Wall Street Journal columnist Peggy Noonan for some political analysis. Noonan is surprised by Edward's decision because his vision of populism and inequality was so clear, but his message was ultimately overshadowed by the history-making runs of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Noonan is excellent at deflating some of Stewart's more outlandish claims and is able to hold her own in the discussion of an election that would, as Stewart says, be "a tonic for this country."
